DRN Designs and Prototyping — Odenville, AL
I design custom 3D models for whatever you need and 3D print your prototype so you can hold it in your hands before committing to production.
What I Do
You describe what you need — a bracket, a housing, a jig, a part that doesn’t exist yet — and I’ll build it as a precise 3D model. Sketch on paper, reference photo, or just an idea in your head — I can turn it into a ready-to-print design file.
Once the model is ready I’ll print it so you have a real physical part to test and evaluate. Perfect for checking fit, testing function, or showing a client what the finished product will look like before spending money on manufacturing.
Getting Started
You don’t need CAD files or engineering drawings. Here’s all it takes.
Write it out in plain English. A sketch, a photo of something similar, or even a quick description. The more detail the better — but don’t stress if you’re not sure on everything.
Fill out the contact form and attach any photos or sketches. You can also text a photo directly to (205) 790-8750 if that’s easier.
I’ll send you a 3D preview to approve before anything is printed. Once you’re happy, your finished part ships straight to your door.

The Case for Prototyping
See how your part looks and feels before spending thousands on manufacturing. Catch problems early when they’re cheap to fix.
Traditional manufacturing takes weeks or months. A 3D printed prototype can be in your hands in days.
Need one part? No problem. No tooling costs, no minimum quantities. One unit costs the same per-part as a hundred.
Complex geometry, curved surfaces, interlocking parts — 3D printing handles shapes that traditional machining can’t touch.
What It Costs
Every project is unique so final pricing depends on complexity, size, and turnaround. These ranges give you a ballpark — reach out for a free exact quote.
The finished 3D design file, ready to print yourself or send to a manufacturer.
Full service — I design it and print it. A real physical part shipped to your door.
Multi-part assemblies, intricate designs, or large prints. Free quote for your specific needs.
All prices are starting points. Final cost depends on complexity, material, size, and timeline. Every quote is free — no commitment required.
What It’s Made Of
Not sure what material you need? Here’s the plain-English breakdown.
PLA is the most common 3D printing material. It prints cleanly, holds detail well, and is perfect for checking that a part looks right and fits where it needs to go.
PETG is tougher and more flexible than PLA. The go-to for parts that need to actually work in the real world. Handles impacts better, tolerates heat, and holds up outdoors.
Every project includes revisions until you’re satisfied. No extra charge, no hassle.
The Process
Send a description, sketch, photo, or rough idea. Attach a file on the contact form. Don’t worry if you don’t have exact measurements — we’ll figure it out together.
I’ll design your part and send you a preview to review. We go back and forth until it looks exactly right before anything gets printed.
Give the green light and I’ll move to printing. Want a change? No problem — we revise until you’re completely happy.
I’ll ship your finished part anywhere in the US. Or deliver just the digital file if that’s all you need.
Who I Am
I’m an Odenville-based 3D designer and maker with a passion for solving problems through design. When something doesn’t exist or can’t be found, I build it.
Whether you’re a hobbyist who needs a one-off part, a small business that needs a prototype, or an inventor trying to bring an idea to life — I work with you from concept to finished print.
Every project gets precision and care. I don’t consider a job done until the part works the way you need it to. No assembly lines, no outsourcing — just one person who takes your project seriously.
Based in Odenville, Alabama. Shipping anywhere in the country.
