What I Do

Two Things, Done Right

01
Custom 3D Modeling

You describe what you need — a bracket, a housing, a jig, a part that doesn’t exist yet — and I’ll build it as a precise 3D model. Sketch on paper, reference photo, or just an idea in your head — I can turn it into a ready-to-print design file.

02
3D Printed Prototypes

Once the model is ready I’ll print it so you have a real physical part to test and evaluate. Perfect for checking fit, testing function, or showing a client what the finished product will look like before spending money on manufacturing.

Getting Started

How to Send Me Your Idea

You don’t need CAD files or engineering drawings. Here’s all it takes.

Step 01
Describe It

Write it out in plain English. A sketch, a photo of something similar, or even a quick description. The more detail the better — but don’t stress if you’re not sure on everything.

Step 02
Send It Over

Fill out the contact form and attach any photos or sketches. You can also text a photo directly to (205) 790-8750 if that’s easier.

Step 03
Receive Your Part

I’ll send you a 3D preview to approve before anything is printed. Once you’re happy, your finished part ships straight to your door.

The Case for Prototyping

Why 3D Print?

01
Hold It Before You Build It

See how your part looks and feels before spending thousands on manufacturing. Catch problems early when they’re cheap to fix.

02
Fast Turnaround

Traditional manufacturing takes weeks or months. A 3D printed prototype can be in your hands in days.

03
No Minimum Orders

Need one part? No problem. No tooling costs, no minimum quantities. One unit costs the same per-part as a hundred.

04
Any Shape, Any Complexity

Complex geometry, curved surfaces, interlocking parts — 3D printing handles shapes that traditional machining can’t touch.

What It’s Made Of

Materials Guide

Not sure what material you need? Here’s the plain-English breakdown.

PLA
Best for: Form, Fit & Display

PLA is the most common 3D printing material. It prints cleanly, holds detail well, and is perfect for checking that a part looks right and fits where it needs to go.

  • Great detail and smooth finish
  • Ideal for fit-checking prototypes
  • Lightweight and easy to paint
  • Not ideal for high-heat environments
Low CostEasy to PrintGood Detail
PETG
Best for: Functional & Outdoor Parts

PETG is tougher and more flexible than PLA. The go-to for parts that need to actually work in the real world. Handles impacts better, tolerates heat, and holds up outdoors.

  • Stronger and more impact resistant
  • Better heat and UV tolerance
  • Great for real-world functional parts
  • Slight flex prevents cracking

The Process

How It Works

1
Tell Me What You Need

Send a description, sketch, photo, or rough idea. Attach a file on the contact form. Don’t worry if you don’t have exact measurements — we’ll figure it out together.

2
I Build the 3D Model

I’ll design your part and send you a preview to review. We go back and forth until it looks exactly right before anything gets printed.

3
You Approve It

Give the green light and I’ll move to printing. Want a change? No problem — we revise until you’re completely happy.

4
Delivered to Your Door

I’ll ship your finished part anywhere in the US. Or deliver just the digital file if that’s all you need.

Common Questions

FAQ

I deliver STL for 3D printing, STEP for editable manufacturing files, and can provide OBJ or other formats on request. Just tell me what your printer or manufacturer requires.
I primarily print in PLA and PETG. PLA is great for form and fit testing. PETG is tougher and better for functional real-world parts. See the Materials section for the full breakdown.
Yes — I ship anywhere in the United States. International shipping is available on request.
Most 3D models are ready for your review within 2–5 business days. Printing adds 1–3 days depending on the size. Rush turnaround is available — just mention it when you reach out.
Absolutely. A description, a photo of something similar, or a napkin sketch is enough. I’ll ask the right questions to get everything I need.
I fix it. Revisions are part of the process. If a printed part doesn’t fit due to a modeling error on my end, I’ll reprint it at no extra charge.
Yes. Plenty of customers just need the design file to send to their own printer or a manufacturing service. I deliver it digitally with no printing required.
